I was previously on BT 2wire router before switching over to Orange bb. if not for the free calls with Orange ii would have stick to my BT router, i would give anything to get back to it though.
my problem is I have a network hard drive which connect to the network via lan/ethernet but since coming to Orange, I have to restrat the livebox everytime i have to switch the net work drive on. can anybody help me. also I want to have more ethernet port can i get a hub or what?
For more ethernet ports you need a "switch". Take a look around online, there's loads to choose from and they should work fine with the livebox.
Does the network drive do the same in either ethernet port? If the PC is on ethernet and doesn't do the same then it's some sort of initialisation problem with the drive. Does it have firmware and are there any updates you can try for it?

thansk you for the reply. yes it does that in either drive. But i never had the problem with my previous router. Also on my previous router, I was able to access the network drive by typing the Ip address into the browser and then supply my password in order to perform adminsitrative tasks on the drive, but that has been history since i switch to live box. even in my livebox homepage it dosent list the ip address for the network drive only the MAC address. I had to go through a long process to access it. and yet still. i cannot acess it.
Sounds like you may be better off setting the drive's IP manually in it's config first. The livebox doesn't really like to list the IP's of what's connected to it.

Try putting that address for it and see if it works any better.
My network Hard drive doesn't work with my live box...
The Network HD shows up on that something’s been connected in its rj45 socket on interfaces but doesn’t show anything else. I've manually configured the drive so it reads 192.168.2.2.
It worked with the last router I had fine. All I had to do on my previous Belkin router was attach the device though an rj45 port and look it up on Start/My computer/Map network Drive and it showed up!
Any information in setting this drive to work with the Orange live box will be much appreciated.
