I received this email below, but I can't see how I can go any faster as I am on Max and Orange don't go above 8mbps! I've looked in my members area, and an order is in progress. Just wondered if this was what they sent when you were "up"graded to LLU?

Hello
Great news. We're making some changes that could mean we can speed up your broadband service - for free!
We're going to complete your upgrade on 17/07/2007 at some point between 8am and 6pm. It'll only take about half an hour, but during that time you
won't be able to get online.
If you'd like any info on your broadband service, just go to http://help.orange.co.uk, or give us a call on 0870 010 2462* any time of the day, seven
days a week.
Yes that's the same email I got last year when they changed me to LLU.
After that it all went downhill, after a while I couldn't connect for 2 weeks solid and left.
Suggest you do the same now before you get slow speed and disconnections.

Great
I was going to jokingly ask if I could get my MAC code while this order was in place, but I guess it would no longer be valid once I had been switched.
I'm not impressed with the way they've only given me 3 working days notice either. Anyway, it gives me enough chance to record some more speed tests so that when the speed isn't better than the 4.5MB I am currently on I can tell them they haven't kept their promise
Don't submit to them sweeperdog, do evberything to get out ASAP.
Demand your MAC code then if that doesn't work just cancel your account.
That is what I did as they spend ages messing me around delaying the MAC.
I cancelled, waitied 10 working days for my line to be cleared and went to a real ISP.
Never looked back since last Spetember with Idnet.
They are simply fantastic and provide a fast, reliable connection.
They also sort any problems when you ring with ENGLISH SPEAKING people who care and are knowledgeable.
There's simply too much competition out there to put up with the disgraceful mess Orange offer.
Do yourself a favour and move on to a real connection.
But I won't stand for nonsense. I don't mind occasionally having to use dialup if there are outages (probably had about 3 in 18 months), but not being able to use the wireless laptop without dialling in will cause me inconvenience
Be warned I had the same email on 22nd June. Stating they would upgrade the speed on 28th June. I've been offline with PPP Server Down since last Wednesday because of this.
There is a fault number for each fault submitted and you could ask for that, however it's an internal thing and rarely used or provided. It's not searchable as all fault checks are linked to your account and should be viewable if checked.
