I have recently upgraded to Orange unlimited broadband package in order to download more. Only thing is every time I try to download, after about 10 minutes of working perfectly it stops... I still have a connection but cannot access the web. Can't even get the web browser up. The only way that I can usually solve this is by restarting the computer, however occasionally I have to wait until the following day. Then if I try to download again same thing happens? Any ideas?

This has been happening to me but only ever since it all started with the speed issue. Have you had a drop in speed recently? I have, and now it's gone to disconnecting and not being able to download so I'm moving from Orange. Best advice on here that people can give is get another ISP straight away.

I presume you can actually open interenet explorer and it just doesn't bring up any webpages?
If so try going to 192.168.1.1 when this happens. If you can't access that then it's more likely a problem with the PC itself. Does unplugging the cable or disconnecting and reconnecting on wireless make any difference?

Yes that's right I can open explorer and it just doesn't bring up any webpages. Unplugging the cable makes no difference I will try going to 192.168.1.1 do you think that if I can't access it it's pretty certain it's not an Orange problem then?

Well if you can't access that page then it usually means there's a connection problem between your PC and the livebox.
If it doesn't work check the status of the connection and let us know what details the support tab shows.

Elhana, last time I got disconnected i tried to access 192.168.1.1 which I could acess even though I couldn't get on any web sites. What can I check on here to see if there is a problem?
