Hi there,
I have read through a lot of topics on here and a lot
have been great.
But, since last Thursday our internet has gone to the
famous Status of.......PPP Server Down. This is
using the Live Box... I have rung tech support many
times, same old story "Do a factory reset" blah blah
"We're doing a line test call back in 24 hours" Call
back, no change, cancelled line tests etc.. etc..
Now, we have another router the Netgear
DG834GT...
I am just wondering if there is a chance I can set this
up and get us on the internet?
I did give it a go but was baffled by all the settings
and don't have a clue about any of the configuration
It's getting really frustrating and I'm just wondering if
one of you lovely people could help me out?
Maybe put up all the information, ip addys, dns
thingamejigs and properties, ppoe or whatever it is!
It is proving to be an absolute nightmare.
I know it's probably, well almost guaranteed you
guys see these posts ALL the time but any help
would be so so greatfully appreciated!!!
Hi, When i was on Orange I had the same "PPP Server Down" error. I tried the livebox and the speedtouch USB modem but neither of them worked. After 4 weeks of downtime it finally came back on. I used this as a reason to get out of my Orange contract which they cancelled with no fees.

Hi Garry
Open the web config page 192.168.0.1 when in choose Set up Wizard top left choose your country and language and under auto detection connection type choose yes then next and follow instructions takes a few seconds then the only thing you should need to do is put in your Orange adsl username and password leave IP and DNS on dynamic and click apply at the bottom of the page then it should try to connect.
