My subsciption to Orange ran out a while ago and they did not contact me but changed my package from £19.99 2meg unlimited to 6 gig capped 2meg for £22.99.A few months passed before i picked up on this and rang them to obtain my MAC code. I was switched from person to person and eventually spoke to someone in authority.He appoligised and offered to get my package changed to 8mb unlimited download for £19.99.He said id recieve a live box I told him id already got a netgear dg834pn said it was part of the deal,and after a few days my speed would increase to 8mb.Well ive tried the live box on another pc and speeds are same as before about 1.9mb no increase,and at least 3 weeks have gone by.Again I rang and was told if I did not use the live box instead of the netgear i would not be able to get 8mb.I thought it made no difference what router/modem was in use as long as its capable of the said speed.

Usually routers don't really differ much speedwise i use the Netgear DG834PN to its a great router the livebox is a piece of crap and they are talking out the hole in their a***e unless your using voip you would be better off using your Netgear router, i'm afraid they lie constantly.

Next time you phone tell them you are using the livebox. I dont use it or wouldn't go near with a bargepole but if I talk to them I chave to pretend I use it or they wont even try help.
