Still effectively capped at 2.7 Mb/s by the LLU hardware,
but at least it seems to drop only to 2.5 at busy times.
Perhaps I'm now the last Orange victim on my exchange!
This about the best I've had yet on LLU with Orange at 10 o'clock at night. Been pretty constant over the past week but did get an email recently telling me my max download speed was 6.5 MB and they had 'finished making the changes they emailed me about' (didn't receive an email) but still don't get more than 2.8MB. Noticed that the Speedtest now shows Orange rather than Cable & Wireless which it was before ....not sure what that means though
I was on around 7 meg then it kept falling over, PPP server down, so they reduced the line to around 6 which was fine, now in the last week its down to 2272 on my livebox, and 1945 on speed test.
Am I the only one having problems with the SMTP server for outgoing mail also?
They say it's cos I use thunderbird but as always I think they are talking s**t*..

you're right - all they kept saying was that I should use oulook express - the advice was delete my email profile and create a new one, oblivious to the fact that the error message was smtp server down!
