Just out of interest P;3.. who is your ISP?
Oh! and in answer to your question..no! (well at least not me!), where are you going with this, what exactly are your motives?
I am wondering if, in the first instance, orange or whatever members can at least open the web mail bit of the service?
"orange or whatever members"??
Do you know the name of this site?
P.S. I am not looking for a fight, but have just read all your previous posts and they don't appear to go anywhere. The answer to your question can be found in many posts in the 'Orange E-mail Problems' thread, I just don't know if you know where your going with this or why

there is actually nothing wrong with that statement ; if one looks around this site, it does state ,it is catering for a variety of past and present providers all who seem to be somehow involved with /related to Orange in one way or another

You might find references to Wanadoo & Freeserve. unfortunatly they are now ALL Orange. So to repeat the previous posters question. "Where are you going with this?"

So Yasmin is an actual human, not a computer, although the first part of her reply to me is from the same script !!
I set up an fsmail.net web mail address with Orange; BUT while so doing noticed the piece of information which told me that if I did NOT access the mail on server at least every 90 days the address would be removed from the system;
as e mail clients are NOT the person logging into the site maybe if only e mail client ARE being used then the site will assume the e mail address is abandoned and delete it? so you will NOT be able to retrieve mail from the address as it will no longer exists.....
fsmail.net accounts are an exception as they are webmail only. You cannot use a client to access them.
Standard accounts, when they're previous broadband accounts or pay as you go accounts are counted as active only when you dialup to them every 200 days or so, I forget the exact figure.
Broadband accounts are specifically immune from this so long as they're broadband accounts.

I still have to log in and 'retrieve' my account every 3 months or so.
The account was PAYG origianlly but was converted to BB when the service started, but I still have to retrieve. Doesn't really bother me, but it always surprises me when it happens
So, I guess you mean that if I just started with Orange BB then I would be ok, because it was never PAYG

Then your broadband account and email account you're using have different details. When you moved to broadband it was probably created as a new account rather than an upgrade of a previous account.

Yes they are.
My boradband connection is my old ***@***.freeserve.co.uk email address with.bb1 at the end, but my email address is ***@***.fslife.co.uk. I changed the email address a few years after I got BB as I was getting so much SPAM.
The letter that came with my Livebox had username details for the fslife address, but of course they did not work, but the freeserve ones did (the one I used on the old stingray modem and my old Belkin router). They say that they have made the change on their system, but I still have to 'retrieve', but I have given up trying to explain to india
It can't really be changed. Broadband is specific to one account and trying to change it to another like that could cause more problems than it's worth, along with causing other issues further down the line.
It would be better to try and swap over to the freeserve address if the retrieval bothers you that much.
However it's changed to a little more than 3 months now.
Quote:
After 219 days of inactivity an account is suspended
After 259 days of inactivity an account expires
After 260 days of inactivity an account is deleted from the system
So if you made a note and retrieved it every 6 months you should be fine.

Thanks for that, but like I said it really doesn't bother me, so I am not going to try and do anything about it.
I did log into my old freeserve webmail account which still works, but of course is stuffed full of email. Is there a way to delete all of the email in one go - I couldn't see a way. It only seems to let you delete a page at a time
