I have a problem with only being able to connect to certain sites. I have read some of the other topics but being a novice I don’t understand what I can change I am using a belkin router and Orange have informed me to contact them on Thursday but being a photographer I need to access and upload Wedding Pictures for waiting customers any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello Mark and welcome to OrangeProblems.co.uk
Take a look at our MTU Settings pages... Have a good read prior to changing anything so that you have an idea as to what changes you may be making. If you get stuck, post back and I am sure there are many here that will assist you...

I am also in WsM - my system working fine at present.
There was a problem last Wed when you could not view website but that lasted only about 4 hours. That in itself caused problems I have had to set up a couple of systems again because of users changing various settings.

Thanks I have tried changing these settings and it does not appear to make any difference.

Because I am not very good on all this I have only changed items when they have said to change them.
My system was working very well, but since they upgraded there system I have had this trouble, my main problem is I have customers waiting to view and order photos from there weddings and portraits..
Are both PCs giving same result ?
For the new one, can you post your MTU and RWIN settings ?
Also which DNS server settings are you using on your PC (not router).
Right click your network connection > click Properties > scroll to TCP/IP and highlight > click Properties > Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS
OK, that figure is just the MTU which incidentally is the one I'm using.
The RWIN result is a 5 digit or 6 digit figure, can you confirm it ?
Re. the DNS, when you have that screen showing :
Click the white circle against "Use the following DNS server adddresses"
and enter 208.67.222.222 against Preferred and against Alternate enter
208.67.220.220. Click OK and then click OK again.
Only do this on your new PC for starters. If it does nothing then you can easily change it back.
The one thing I cant understand is that some sites run as normal other sites don’t load at all and http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks is one of those that don’t run at all.
