ive been with freeserve since 2000.
and this year i decided to upgrade to Orange 8mb broadband.
They said they would send out my live box as soon as posible (that was 4 months ago).
since then my internet has always disconected between 7pm to 11 pm.
yesterday i really got mad at them
they would not let me connect at 7.30 am to 12 pm
then when i got back from my work i found out that they had cut down my speed from 400kbps that i normally get, to 28 kbps.
I Think tht people who work with Orange should come to this site and read everbodys problems with Orange.

I too joined up with Freeserve in 2000 and foolishly got caught for another year's contract before I cottoned on that all MY internet problems had co-incided with the Orange takover. If we are all aware of these nightly drop outs, how come every time I ring for the service status Orange 'aren't currently aware of any problems'???
today i went on the phone with Orange.
they said that the speed is slow because of the usage in the area.

The updated drivers usually only help when the USB connection is causing a bottleneck and limiting the speed of the connection, usually to around 4 meg.
