Since the Orange takover I have been unable to access 'FTP my site'. On typing my username and password I get the message 'Sorry, this service is exclusive to Orange UK members.' I thought that I am now 'an Orange member. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Are you trying to get into your free webspace, or an extra one that you have applied for? I've just uploaded something to my free area with an FTP client and it was fine
I am trying to use 'FTP my site' which I have used successfully for at least 5 years with Freeserve and then Wanadoo. Never had a problem until June 1st. Since then, even though the log in page says 'use your normal freeserve login and password' I am told that the servive is only for Orange subscribers
Just in case anyone has the same problem ... I have solved it myself. I have 'OnSpeed' installed on my computer and that was causing the problem - discovered accidentally when Onspeed failed to load one time. So now I can use 'FTP my site' provided that I disable Onspeed first.
