AOL are terrible, they infect your computer with so much stff, it trys to take over everything. And their customer service is awful, a relative recently died tragically and i had to go through everything. When i tried to explain to AOL what had happened and that i needed to cancel the acccount they kept asking me for the password which i didn't have and calling me by the deceased's name, then when they finally realised who i was they tried to sell me on the deceased's account.
They also took double payment back in december and have not repaid us yet. They refused to let you speak to any manager, telling me i have to do that online, or that they will get a manager to call me back because only they can refund my money, they give me a specific time slot and then no one calls. An absolute disgraceful service.
Unfortuantly AOHell require you use their software to dialup and everything, it's a drain on system resuources, and the tiny bit of experience i have had on their cust service was so bad, I wanted to break something.
As for the Deceased issue, Write in and say how upset and distressed you were with the handling of the matter, and request an apology, or the letter goes to a local watchdog.
Good luck finding a better ISP.. They're rare to find it seems..
