My broadband is very slow lower than a quarter of a meg I'm using the unlimited package given by Orange, i cant get it any faster than 17kbps. I look on my configure live box and this is what it shows me-
Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 5312 448
Looking at that it should be at least a meg, its not just the computer ether, i have a ps3 and the broadband is even slower on that, any help or advise would be much appreciated. thank you.
I see you have "INTERLEAVE" on which should, so I understand, give a more stable connection, increased latency and probably not max. sync. speed.
Well, if the 8Mb was running 100% OK, then interleave would be off, does that give you a clue ?
If you're a gamer then you will notice a heck of a difference with it on.
Basically with it on you'll see fewer disconnects because it smooths out the transmission of data bits but latency is affected.
had a great connection up until 4 weeks ago, then crap from there on, noticed a prob when couldnt do my weekly net radio show due to upload issues just done a test and this is the best result ive had in the 4 weeks

Hi all
Just to let you know that you can now save your speed tests here at OrangeProblems.co.uk
The idea is that you can have a complete record of your speeds and we can show you the best and the worst performers according to exchange, town/city and region. You will also be able to allow other members to view your speeds...
You must be logged in to use the service...
You will need to visit the exchange page first. This is so that we can collate data relevant to your exchange (you will only need to do this once unless you want to set up a number of profiles under your username).
After receiving your exchange data, a form will appear below the data...
Complete the form as detailed and press submit! That's it! Your speed profile is set up.
Then, to add more speeds to your profile, view your profile and view other statistics, visit the Speed Pages - again, you must be logged in each time.
Back date your speed tests: You can add your older speed tests so long as you have the speedtest link still (e.g. if you have linked to your speed in this or other posts) - just amend the date on the form accordingly!
You can have as many profiles as you like - each profile is unique to the combination of your telephone number + your ISP + your broadband package... This is in case you upgrade to a new package or change your package so that you can compare speeds etc...
This feature is still in development so you may see some changes from time to time - but only improvements (we hope)... NOTE that your telephone number is never disclosed - we use it solely to gain your exchange information accurately.
Not all features are currently active but we thought we'd get the ball rolling so that we can start collating information - then to back-up your OrangeProblem you can point Orange here - either to your speeds or to your exchange speeds...
This should benefit all - we hope that you find this service useful. And we promise to continually add to the features.
K
NOTE: That at the moment, the link to the speed pages is only available on this post - we will add it to the navigation bar at the top of all pages soon... But we thought we should let those who record their speeds on this post know first!
