Well, so far today I've had no disconnections from the internet or Outlook Express and all emails have been sent. I'm on Downend (Bristol) exchange with a consistent connection at around 5Mbs.
Whether that's to do with what Orange are doing or whether it's a result of running DR TCP last week, I haven't a clue, but if it stays like this for 7 consecutive days, I'll be happy.
Scary isn't it ?.......Do you think that all our emails and letters to "He who must be obeyed" in France Telecom + Radio 4 + Radio 5 Live have actually produced some action ?
I'm not holding out any hope whatsoever, I'll just take it one day at a time !!!!
I can't believe that I'm getting these results at 8:30pm especially having been logged into internet and Outlook Express all day with zero failures and zero disconnections. Something is happening !!

Same here. I've been working from home today; the speed this morning was about 6200kbps. By mid afternoon it had dropped to 3500kbps, by mid-evening to 200kbps and now it seems to be staggering back up to a dizzy 300kbps.
Still, it's better than the 30/40kbps I've been getting from time to time recently!
Well, I did say I would take it one day at a time.......sending emails started to fail around 10pm last night and this morning it's the same, nothing is going out but receiving is OK.
Internet connection is still good, so I reckon DR TCP was the reason rather than Orange :
One thing I've noticed is the latency is much lower today than yesterday.
Since I left Orange I find it laughable that people are saying "No dropped connection today".
I rebooted my router after upgrading the firmware - 17 days ago. Per my router stats, I've been connected to the internet for - 17 days (and no, I don't mean the exchange - I mean the net).
Clearly - Orange are unstable (trust me, I know - I had became a freeserve cutomer when they launched) - as soon as you can, get out - go to a decent ISP.
For the first time since 24 May my connection today has dropped from 5000+kb/s to 1500+kb/s. It was fine at 1pm but by 3.30pm it was bujjered.
My laptop hasn't been turned off and I haven't made anychanges to any settings but no doubt Orange will say "It's not us, we've done nothing"
