Wonder if anyone can advise me. I am currently on Orange broadband and have a speedtouch modem. I have just bought a belkin wireless router and am having difficulties connecting to the internet.
Can anyone give me an idiots step by step guide on how to get it up and running.
Depending on your model Belkin (I'm using F5D7633UK4A wireless router/modem) log into http://192.168.2.1, follow the sign-on instructions hit submit and click on Setup wizard. It's pretty simple to follow.....honest !
I'm trying to set up my mates Belkin wireless router. I've been through all the set up menus on the router and still the router says "not connected". Belkin can't help and we are now at a los as to what to do.
The "not connected" is on the Belkin page. I get this by typing the usual
192.168.2.1 into the web browser.
connection type - PPPoA
IP assigned by ISP - yes
VPI/VCI - 0/35
Encapsulation - LLC
MTU - 1438 (from memory)
After the set up is a status page - top right internet staus not connected.
2 buttons below "disconnect" & "connect" tried both, nothing.
Ahh!
VPI/VCI are supposed to be 0/38 and you may want to check your encapsulation doesn't give a VC-MUX or VC based option to select instead, these are in the Orange settings link at the top of the page.
