I just phoned Orange this arvo ready with all my bits of paper with SOG legislations and Orange's t&c's etc, armed and ready to have another go; and the guy said:
"I can see you've been having problems for quite a well, so I can therefore cancel the account for you, with no further payments due."
I was dumbfounded! And then he said:
"Is there anything you'd like to claim compensation for, like phone calls?"
I nearly fell off my chair!
He told me to send him by phone bill and he will refund the call costs and my monthly fee for having no internet.
My advice to anyone is be persistent. I finally seemed to get Customer Care to listen after I'd made my 3rd complaint to ISPA and written them 2 letters giving them 7 days to resolve the problem. Curiously, Orange phoned me on my mobile about 2 hours after I'd made my 3rd complaint to ISPA...don't know what they said to them.
I'm freeeeee!!! At long last! I'll be changing ISP today. Thanks orangeproblems for all your help
I am now free as well and as of yesterday my broadband connected with fast. I have a speed of 7.8mg. I hope Orange go broke for the stress and misery they have given people. I still owe them £50 they can go whistle for it!!!
