My slightly dopy flatmate has had a livebox in her wardrobe for the last 8 months!
Anyway, on Friday evening I decided to set up this all singing & dancing modem/router BUT....
The CD decided to go to a certain point and then stops or goes blank... sometimes I go all the way through and it then crashes or disappears (I have to halt the installation through task manager!). My wireless adapter can see the livebox and connects to it but that is as far as it goes. I tried my flatmates two laptops with the same problem but I did manage one of the laptops to connect to someone elses broadband connection but not on my own desktop PC (why??) I did this just to test my wireless adapter.
I've tried entering the address details from another post on this website but still no joy.
has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix this... do I have a faulty livebox or CD? It's a shame you can't download the software needed from their website but I've looked and you can't! I tried ringing Orange and explained I just wanted general info and it was my flatmates that is with Orange and not me... he then acused me of lying to him (er????) and I was fraudelently trying to access my flatmates account and put the phone down on me... I wish they would do an IQ test at call centres (I did work at one for awhile and I was never that thick!)
I might just sign upto another broadband supplier but than can take weeks and it's a shame not to be able to use this 'free' service.
Click on the "Access to the configuration pages" link, then choose My Services from the menu on the left, then Internet.
If you are prompted to login, the username is admin and the password is admin.
Then insert your username and password for connection to the internet.
Connection login=username - xxxxxxxx.freeserve.co.uk@fs
Connection password=your password
