I got disconnected for exactly 4 hours last night Sad

But it is now 5:30am and my speeds are back up at around 7mb Very Happy

Dear all,

I have bitten the bullet so to speak and decided to give Orange a go despite all the horror stories i have read. For £5 a month worth the chance I think.

Just got my Livebox and here are my results:

Considering I am currently paying £19.99 a month for Virgin Media I am plesantly surprised however I will keep you all updated.

Wow!.. 7001!.. just out of interest Dazmo, how often does your connection drop between those hours eg. once, twice.. or all night long,.. or can you not connect at all between 7PM and 12AM?

I cant connect at all. Sad

Though if im lucky i can just get my wireless to connect to the local hotspot.. But it costs a fortune..

Right now I'm getting 2.7 Mb/s during the busy period again.
So, I've still not broken the 2.7 barrier but at least I'm not getting
0.5-0.7 Mb/s as I was for a few weeks at this time.

I see from your upload speed that you appear to be ADSL Max, not LLU
like me, however. A few weeks ago I was at 2.7 during the evening for two
weeks or so, then started getting 0.5-0.7 until tonight. Perhaps I've been
repatched in the comms kit at the exchange.

In light of the current ADSL Max speed-crash epidemic, I hope things stay OK
for you.

I would have expected more that a meg with those stats but Orange say that 1mb is my maximum.

Connection however is very stable. I can stay connected to Orange for 14 days without a disconnect.

Not to detract from this forum but check out Orange 'internet' one all the figures are explained there by 'tvman' all i know is the higher the 'noise' margin the better and the 288 means you have been LLU'd :cry: :cry: but there are some little tweaks you can do to your internal wireing on the phone extensions.
