I've been doing some speed testing over the last couple of days using www.speedtest.net, and I've noticed 3 tests that were done in January which I definetly didn't do. This was a couple of days after joined Orange, so would it have been them testing the line?
Ive had problems with that site in the past try deleting your cookies sometimes it clears it.
I'm still confused...if they're not my speed tests than whose are they and what are they doing in my results? Just curious if Orange would be using the site to do speed testing of my line.

No one else should be able too as the history is saved by your IP address but as i said the site acts strange sometimes, occasionally it doesn't work for me at all for weeks then all of a sudden starts working again.
Does the tests say they are Orange /cable and wireless?

Never fear... OrangeProblems.co.uk is here!!!
We are developing a feature for OrangeProblems.co.uk which we hope to have active by the end of this week - it is taking a lot of coding and time!!!
We are offering all members the ability to store their speeds here at OrangeProblems.co.uk so that we can get a database together to show everyone just how bad the speeds are!
Everyone (members or viewers) will be able to look at speeds by exchange, town/city, region and country.
If members wish, they will be able to share their speeds with others by their member name.
Members will be able to log speeds as often as they like and we will automatically create graphs to display the speeds you are getting over time compared to what you were expecting.
We have completed the majority of this coding, have yet to spend a couple of days testing it, and as mentioned above, we will go live with this feature, hopefully, by the end of the week.
We feel that this will add substance to any claims you may have against the service which you are receiving (or not receiving as the case may be) from Orange.
One OrangeProblem that has come up a few times is that the Orange software tells you that you are receiving, for example, 5.9Mb connection. This is probably true at the moment that you actually connected, but... if you test your speed a little while later and then at various times after that (on the same connection), you will find that you get nowhere near the speed you were told and received at the moment you connected!
Members have also complained that the speed varies throughout the day (i.e. at different times) and on different days (i.e. the weekend seems to be a bad time to connect and at a slow connection speed). Using our new feature, you will be able to see exactly when your speeds are affected and use this to tell Orange that the service is not what you signed up for.
We are working very hard on this feature and will email all members as soon as this feature is available. Yes it will take some effort on your behalf to keep logging the speeds, but we feel that it may benefit you in the event of wanting out of your contract before your contract finishes.
Going out of your way to provide people with a service free of charge, possibly helping them escape being ripped off each month, is commendable indeed.
If only Orange would supply this kind of customer support!
I just hope - after my broadband has been hopefully sorted for good - I won't need your help.
I see you're on the C&W connection, like I was for some time. Speedtest now shows me as being on Orange Home UK PLC. Which for the last 4 days has been working great.
I just hope the work they've been carrying out is finally sorted, for me anyway!

If I connect over PPPoA I get C&W - PPPoE gives me Orange

Have you been rebooting your router - or switching it off for say more than 10 mins - Doing so gives you a new IP address

Hi guys
Re our new feature to record your speed tests on OrangeProblems.co.uk...
We are running behind schedule I'm afraid! We'll keep you posted but it will probably not be much before the end of this coming week that we have the system up and running!
Apologies! We are working hard on it and we are sure it will be of benefit to all our users!
