Love this bit.. "The need for an image revamp may have been added to recently, when a recent study by Point Topic found that more than 40 per cent of its broadband customers said they were fairly or very likely to change their provider soon."
Orange logic is unbelievable, if 40 per cent of its customers are likely to leave shouldn't they consider addressing the reasons why instead of re-vamping shops to attract more customers?, (I assume they are after another 40 per cent to replace the disgruntled migrations).
Surely it would be cheaper and also a good marketing move to solve the present issues!

Well ive seen it all now they have all these problems with their broadband and they announce they are revamping their shops, i'm sure that will comfort their disgruntled broadband customers NOT, they seem to have their priorities in the wrong order. Unbelievable !!

TS : 'Yes indeed there is. It's a well known fact that bad decor can lead to disconnection problems, your nearest Orange shop is being revamped and once the work is completed your connection should be back.'

I don't know whether to laugh or reel back in horror. Surely the actual solution to their problems is to ADDRESS them. But Oranges record of using smoke and mirrors to get customers has been very successful, so why buck the trend?
One would think the common sense approached would be to put all this money thats been squandered on consumer surveys and new shop makeovers and bloody put it into the LLU network where clearly its NEEDED.
How on earth is this revamp going to help Oranges reputation?:
"Orange broadband: Voted Worst ISP- That was then, this is now, coz our shops look nicer, the floors match the walls see!.."

Quality, thats almost half the users- watch this number rise...
You have to remember the mobile side of the business is still quite seperate from broadband even though they are one company. Anyway the people revamping the stores aren't likely to be the sort who can fix broadband problems or deal with it that much.

Elhana, Hi mate!
The reason I posted the link is because it states that Orange are shifting from mobile to broadband !
Quote from the article:
"She (Sian Doyle) added that the interior of the stores would feature a live laptop equipped with home broadband to highlight that Orange had changed from being a mobile phone provider to a communications retailer".
So surely Orange need to start fixing or at least acknowledging the outstanding (broadband/communications) issues,.. before pushing the boat further out into the abyss!!
Will be interesting to see how fast they can get their in store BB to work.

Customer " What does that ' PPP server down ' mean on your display computer"
Sales " Hmmm well, well, well, I have never come across that before, it is could be a fault on the computer, the cleaning lady put her mop near the plug, its Saturday, there is a full moon, but it certainly is not an Orange problem"
P.S. been free from Orange now for 8 months, after being a cust. for 9 years.
Last 6 months with them never a day went by without seeing PPP down.
Now, not one disconnection or problem in 8 months.
