After a big argument today with various kids at Customer Service today. told them I want my MAC code.
They told me I would have to pay the remaining £200+ of my contract.
I told them they havent fulfilled the terms of their contract. My speeds have been about 0.5-0.6mb when I'm paying for 8mb.
That my friend is entirely up to you. If you cancel the DD they can't take money from you. They might take things further, they might not. If it goes to court you'd have a good chance of winning, depending on your circumstances of course.

I sent a letter to Orange and a seperate one to Ofcom.
same deal here. cancelled my DD. i owe them £200 because of the 12 month contract.
as far as i'm concerned they broke their side of the contract ( no internet , no support for nearly 2 weeks now) , so they can get stuffed.
got my MAC code today. migrating to Fast (signed up etc... even have my login details ready!)...
