Same here but struggled all night to get much above 0.5mb. It started over the weekend and yesterday. Had a really good connection of around 6.5mb since last october.
I must admit I thought it may be because of the amount of downloading I've been doing in an effort to get a free cancellation, however my stats clearly show I haven't been throttled as I'm still synced at 7000+
Hope that isn't a sign of LLU being enabled on your exchanges - If it is, get ready to run.
For someone who has a broadband connection worthy of its advertising I would be livid to have it's speed DOWNGRADED (I've yet to experience anything above 1/2meg). You have been making the most of ADSLMAX right
@Premier: As far as I'm aware your sync rate has no relation to any throttling/actual download speed. Its a measure of potential maximum download speed. I have a download speed of 1/2 meg, Sync rate is 10176kbps
Ive checked my line stats and have even rung BT, BT said everything was fine the my line and that its Orange's poor service, they aint wrong about poor service.
and they said on bbc watchdog things were going to improove im still waiting to see these "improovements"

Same here. After grim speeds in February / early March, things seemed quite a bit better last month. During the past couple of weeks it's been dreadful, though - down to 36kbps a couple of hours ago! (In fact, shortly after that I couldn't even get the speed test to complete - it just stopped at about 50%.)
My best speeds are just under 6000kbps, but I'm only getting that on high days and holidays. My average, at present, is perhaps 1000kbps.
My broadband speed has collapsed over the last few days.
My router shows 8MB but web pages are really slow and speed test on thinkbroadmand is 100k - 150k at best (often below 100k). However occasionally (I guess at low usage times) I get 6MB.
What has gone wrong with Orange. I have to admit that until now I have never had a problem. I've been on Broadband Unlimited for 6 months and been with Freeserve etc on braodband for 4+ years.
