Ok I was refused my MAC code so I cancelled last week, should take 7-10 days to clear yes?
No - called to check status with BT they havn't started it
Called the 'team' spoke to another broken accent and another pile of s**t excuses, that they cannot clear the line until they have completed their LLU b*****ks.
I'm trapped and my head is well and truly done in.

Ok, I know I have said this before but phone Ofcom 0845 456 3000 just stay on the line to talk to a person, do not press any options, tell them exactly what has gone on and although they say they cannot intervene they will, they have a direct link to someone at Orange and will contact them, Orange are in breach of General Condition 22 by not giving you either a MAC code or line cease and can be fined for not doing so.
The more people complain to Ofcom the better for everyone that is still with them as they may buck their ideas up in the way they treat customers in the future.
I spoke to a Lucy, from Orange's Customer Care dept last night. I asked for my MAC code stating my problem - disconnection on the 26th April, reconnection on the 3rd May, since then dial-up speeds - and said if it wasn't sorted by Friday coming I'd cancel my account, which is why I wanted the MAC code, to save me time/hassle. She said nothing about the contract and said that the MAC code would be emailed to me within five working days.
Obviously I'm not holding my breath and took her words with a pinch of salt, but you never know, they might actually do something right for a change!
I doubt it.......
EDIT: Currently my download speed is 2KB/s!! So saying I'm getting dial-up speeds was a bit generous. Orange = Big Joke.
Rob: I've already complained to Ofcom, and they did exactly what you described. That was last week. Shouldve heard back by now according to Ofcom.
Nothing.
And as you have'nt call them again and tell them you have still had no response from Orange, they will contact Orange directly and Orange will get their arse in gear believe me.
