Hi All.
I am another happy non-orange customer now. 11 days ago I migrated to adsl24 with the greatest of ease after having to badger Orange for my MAC code.
My training period is now up and I have a nice stable 5Mbs connection with a seemingly greater throughput per Mb than my old 1Mbs Orange connection.
I have just had a good laugh when I returned home earlier to find a letter from Orange. For background see my post 'unlimited is actually 50GB???'
The letter stated that since I had ignored their demands that I had gone over their 40gb limit (which used to be 50gb) that they were closing my account.
Are they stupid or what? I migrated 11 days ago!!!
So I had to send them a thank you letter as childish as it sounds I really enjoyed it
I am truely amazed at the total lack of any clue about running a business that your disorganisation has.
I have just received a letter from you in the post stating that because I have gone over your 40GB 'unlimited' package yet again that my account will be closed.
Well go ahead and close it. I actually migrated away from your diseased excuse for a broadband network 11 days ago. I am no longer using the email account either. So please do * it off if it will make you happy.
I migrated in the first place because your unlimited up to 8Mb package was a joke. Unlimited suddenly became 50GB when I got my first warning letter then 40GB with the second warning letter and now 40GB again on my dismissal notice.
Unlimited=40GB then. Perhaps you ought to stop ripping off your customers and tell them there is a limit. Also getting my line regraded from 1Mbs would have locked me in to another 12 month contract with you. You don't exactly go out of your way to tell anyone this.
So I am now with a different ISP getting a nice 5Mbs with a 1 month contract for a £2 extra a month and they state what the limits of my package are and they're a hell of a lot more generous than yours.
I am as delighted to be free from your pathetic disorganisation and will be recommending to everyone that I know to avoid Orange like the plague.
May Orange burn for all eternity in the fires of hell.
I wonder if they'll bother to respond. I'm off to cancel the direct debit now.
If anyone else is thinking of jumping ship too then I would recommend ADSL24 as everything went exactly as it should and their user support on their website is fantastic. They have usage stats, adsl max stats and all sorts.
Well go ahead and close it. I actually migrated away from your diseased excuse for a broadband network 11 days ago
A vivid yet apt description for Oranges service- a disease rather than an 'elixir of broadband goodness'...Anyhow, Looks like you won't be looking back , well done!
