Apologies if this seems a little naive. After the installation of the Livebox, I had a few problems which were solved by the helpline! However during those telephone converastions, I was warned not to turn off the power to the Livebox. I have followed that advice ever since but recently Madame reminded me that we will soon need to redecorate the "computer room". This will necessitate switching off the power to all the kit including the Livebox.
What is the procedure for re-establishing the Livebox connection to the wired desktop and to the wireless laptop, please? Presumably the same question applies if there was a prolonged power cut in the electricity supply.
The turn off message is actually about the updates that are sent out every so often. Turning off during one of those can cause problems, they're pretty infrequent though, usually 2-3 a year.
There should be no problem with the wired connection, just plug it back in and it should work, wireless should reconnect when available just as if you'd turned off the computer for a while and turned it back on again.
Just make sure the lights on the livebox aren't doing anything out of the ordinary. If you want to make totally sure try and open a webpage, if it comes up on the pc then you should be able to turn the livebox off without trouble.
