I have recently received the marvellous Livebox, which I'm trying to use with my laptop. After firing it up and pairing it with my laptop, I'm able to find and connect to it no problem. However, nothing is happening when I open internet explorer.
I'd not really very good with computers, but I know I'm able to connect to other wireless networks without any problem. Why is it that when it says 'Connected' I'm still unable to display any internet page?

From what you say I'm not sure whether you are connected to Livebox or not. First make sure that you are properly connected.
UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH WIRELESS:
Are you pressing Button 1 on Livebox to put it into pairing mode?
Press Button 1 on Livebox so the wifi light flashes. This puts livebox into pairing mode and you have 10 minutes to try and connect your wireless device . This only needs to be done once and then you should be able to connect every time .
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
If security is an issue WPA is more secure, try WPA only.
You could also try Changing the channel. One recommended to try is channel 9.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn of the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.
Yes, I'm pressing Button 1 to go into pairing mode, and then using the WEP key I received with the box to connect. After pairing it was auto-connecting to the Livebox, but no to the internet.
The laptop is one given to me by my firm, and as such has restrictions on what settings I can alter (mostly relating to security). I'll have to see if I am able to do the other things you have mentioned.
Try the link keith gave but also try opening 192.168.1.1.
If neither will work go through the control panel, into network connections, double click your wireless when it says connected and check the support tab. What does it say in there?
