Once I could connect via ftp to my domain, now I can't. I changed the security settings to Low (disabled) on the Livebox, reset it, rebooted. Nada, nothing, niet. There's nothing on the pc to stop it connecting, ports 20 and 21 are open.
Is the Livebox gubbed? Have Orange stopped FTP access?
Any ideas, the people who read things off screens in India didn't have a clue even what ftp was, marvellous.

Update. I just unplugged it, and my god its working again, is this something to do with the server you reconnect to when you hard boot the livebox?
Forwarding is usually more for running that service behind the livebox rather than just for connecting to it. It's whole purpose is so the box knows where to send the incoming connection that hasn't been pre-established by one of the systems sending data out to that address.
