Where to start? Somewhere else on this site someone suggests that there are thousands of 'satisfied' Orange customers who don't appear on this site. Maybe that's because (like me) they've only recently found it, or (again like me) they haven't really seen what they can contribute as the myriad problems are already so well covered - and unfortunately it seems to have no impact at all on Orange's appalling service.
But I now have something new to share with you all, so have joined up in order to post it.
After a recent email complaint, I was called back by an Orange representative (amazing enough in itself). His miraculously ingenious solution to my problems (speed, connection failures, the usual) was that I should increase my subscription to the wireless and talk phone service so that I could call the helpline more cheaply at any time. Wow! Why didn't I think of that? I did point out that this wouldn't actually help when the connection was down as, um, I wouldn't be able to use the VOIP service, but he didn't seem to be able to grasp this, so I suggested that maybe there wasn't any point in continuing the conversation.
But to the point. There used to be thousands of Skoda jokes circulating (eg, what do you call a Skoda convertible - a skip) until Skoda improved its cars (or at least its image). Surely there ought to be Orange jokes by now? Anyone got any to share?
By the way, after last night's loss of service I emailed Orange to ask if they would agree that their broadband service was no longer 'fit for purpose'. Do you think I'll get a reply?
