On the contrary folks, the label of Worst ISP being pinned onto Orange is nothing short of perfect.
This exposing of Orange will have serious repercussions, not only on dissuading any potential customers that are thinking about joining, but also making up the minds of existing customers who were toying with the idea of leaving. Either way, this will hurt Orange where it matters- Profit. By how much remains to be seen, but they are going to have to be seen doing something otherwise those profits will dwindle.
On response to the French Orange Rep, again, nothing he said that we didn't know already. Again, this serves to inform a larger audience well outside the remit of this and other forums- expect quotes in magazine, newspapers etc etc. I did notice some blurring and outright lies with what he said.
With respect to the speed of the network, he mentions "Expansion". Now we all know what this means- expanding LLU removing people from ADSLMAX/IPstream. If I was to be pedantic he should have said "Upgrades" thereby indicating LLU speeds will be increased- so in essence theres no addressing the slow LLU speeds, merely expanding LLU.
An outright lie was how he mentioned problems are being addressed alot quicker, than they were months ago- Nothing has been addressed period, no-one with poor LLU speeds has gotten speed enchancements.
He was slick but the damage is done, and will continue until Orange do what is expected of them.

Orange need to spend more money training their staff and at least tell them theres more to Broadband than locking people in a contract and at least telling them what a router is, it seems strange how they sre the only LLU operater with a crap system and they obviously don't wanna spend money rectifying this and dont give two hoots for the people they hold to their 12 month contract perhaps they need to realise contracts work BOTH ways.
At least none of my family and friends are with these cowboys anymore.

Im looking forward to the day Orange pull the plug and go into Liquidation..... its nothing short of what they deserve for their alloof, appalling, shoddy, amateur, greedy service (and i use the word service VERY loosely)
Its about time they gave what customers they have left the service they are paying for AND DESERVE.
