Hello Orangefan. I will quote myself here from this same post:-
Quote:
As mentioned in my previous posts, I am a PC technician and part of my job is installing broadband. I know of about 14 Orange customers who are at their whit's end over their treatment by this company - my sister included.
I install BB for my customers, several times in a typical week and all with other isps - NOT Orange - and have had no major problems. The only problems I have had is with my Orange customers, in which I have been called out to setup another isp. I admit I have customers who have had problems with other isps but never on this scale.
I'm not personally frustrated. I've never had the misfortune of having Orange as my isp (I am on this forum on behalf of my sister and my customers) and that is because I've done research on ISPs before committing myself to any particular one, and found undeniable evidence to indicate that Orange is one to avoid.
I don't doubt for a minute that there are loads of happy Orange customers out there; it would be unrealistic of me to think otherwise. If it's working for you, then good for you, but you would really need to have the experience that I have to make any judgement on the quality of this isp.
All i can say is that if ur sister or fellow associates are on IP Stream (BT) and not Orange LLU, they are most likely to experince the same issue no matter which isp they turn or move to. IP Stream is managed by BT. We can blame Ornge for LLu issues but i think at the moment there are in controll and being locked into. PPP server down is not a line issue. pm me and i'll give u a possible fix. But all i can say is that, if we replace the livebox and/or even try a speedtouch modem on the same connection on BT Ip stream then NO MATTER WHERE U MOVE TO, U GONNA HAVE THE SAME CONNECTION ISSUE. Enough said
thanks

You are most certainly wrong for a start for one Orange TS or CS havnt got a clue how to solve any problems whatsoever some dont even know what a router is you might but whats the chance of getting through to you?
I left Orange because of their crap service which was blamed on my pc constantly same scripts read out to me i asked for a MAC and they wouldnt give me one but the ISPA got me one off them i migrated and no problems since
If you to put your same reply on dslzone or thinkbroadband O-rangeFan and watch the other ISP representatives slaughter you
