I finally quit Orange a few weeks ago but they've not indicated they want the Livebox back.
I phoned, and the guy could only say something to the effect of "We'll ask for it if we want it back" (helpful).
Has anyone else got a Livebox hanging around that Orange has never asked to be returned? I don't know what to do with mine - I still have sufficient 'Orange rage' to glefully destroy the thing, but it'd be just my luck that Orange would want it back then!
I'd hang onto it if I were you m8.
I received a black returns bag from Orange last month, asking for the return of my dodgy Livebox which was exchanged at the door, back in September 06.
Another couple of quid in phone calls to put that right !

Any advice?
In law, after 3 months you can claim ownership of it, (best to have some proof of when you actually told Orange you no longer required it such as an email or itemised phone call on your bill).
If after 3 months they claim it back and you still have it, you are supposed to give it back, but are entitled to charge them a "reasonable" amount for storage etc.
But if you no longer have it after 3 months there is nothing they can do.
This law applies to anything. If you forget to pick up your dry cleaning or your repaired watch the shop can claim ownership after 3 months and then sell it.
