Well where to start. I originally signed up to Wanadoo broadband 1 meg service about 2 years ago january time. All was fine then Orange took over. Ever since december my connection has stopped me from gaming (Because the game just stops the NPCs dont move my character doesnt respond and it happens every 15 seconds), Also very slow.
It was fine until they decided to "Upgrade" me to 4 meg when i didnt even want it, I was perfectly fine on my 1 meg. I didnt get any confirmation just one day signed on and it said im connected at 4.0 mbps.
Ive just quit the game i play because its impossible to play.
Speed Down 270.17 Kbps ( 0.3 Mbps )
Speed Up 226.82 Kbps ( 0.2 Mbps )
they are my speeds I am getting.
Please if anyone has any suggestions for me? Maybey my modem is too outdated...Speed touch 330 silver version. If no one can resolve this I will be requesting my contract and if I can leave I will be ordering them to give me my MAC code and going to BT.

Well, My Mum has just rang Orange. Told them I want the MAC code there gonna send it through the post. Then it will take 30 days after the MAC code arrives to cancel our contract? - A question - Can I go straight over to BT when I have the MAC code or will I have to wait the 30 days then go over. Please post.
You do not have to wait for the 30 days. Infact if you do then you are likely to create problems. As soon as you get the code pass it to your new provider.
I think I would have asked for it by email. If they send it through the post its gonna delay things and eat into part of the 30 day validity period.

Tyvm for the reply. And the problem about sending it by e-mail is the wanadoo.co.uk adress doesnt even work . I'll make sure I get my Mum to phone BT as soon as the code comes (If it does ).
