I don't really care how I get it I just want to move ISP as the constant internet crashes during peak times are very annoying!
The way it's worked previously is it was ok to give out over the phone but when you request it it's not generated on the spot so they can't give it out immediately. Once it's gone through and was on the account then usually it's fine to give out, for example to make sure it was correct in the email or letter.
When you do request yourMAC code tell them that it is now law they have to supply it within 5 days.
You need to stay one step ahead of this lying, robbing disgrace. or they will just take the mickey.
Also they will probably tell you that no other ISP accepts LLU MAC codes.
This is rubbish as many ISP s do like IDnet, Sky, BT.
