Having finally got some stability in my connection I'm now having to press pairing button each time I turn my pc on in order to obtain a wireless connection. Pc no longer shows up as associated device even when I'm connected and I cant figure out how to get it to connect automatically upon restart? Please help because I'm feeling dumb!!

You only have to use pairing the first time you connect.
Unable to connect with wireless:
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
You could also try Changing the channel.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn of the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.
If the wireless isn't getting a listing in associated devices and you're defintely using it then it means it's not saving it for some reason. If you have the Orange cd try going through the recovery process and seeing if that helps. You will need to re-enter the username and password after doing so.

Hi Just got a Livebox and am having similar issues. My machine is connected via ethernet and my brothers machine is using a wireless adaptor. Now we have got a connection but have to press pairing button each time to get connection.
Cant understand as the reason we went wirless is so we did not have to use microsoft internet connection sharing thus having on one computer on at a time (for global warming's sake).
Followed Orange guides and my ethernet always connetcs but my brothers machine does not pick up the wirless although it gets a strong signal. Orange helps suggests that the wieless adaptor (an Orange one) is not connecting to the box, even though the lights are solid red as they should be.
I will try to follow the advive here but wondering if both our machines should be wireless, is this better? Orange suggest one on ethernet is good.
