I’ve attempted to migrate from Orange on Three occasions in the past 4 months all of which have failed. I was informed this was because I had an ‘incompatible product on the line’ which supposedly is the Orange LLU Marker.
Now why is that some people who are on an LLU can migrate without having the tag on the line issue and I have to go the long way round and cancel?
Did they give you the wrong MAC?
Which ISP are you trying to migrate to cos not all of them currently accept MAC codes from/to LLU.
Ask your new ISP for the format the MAC code should be in as these can vary, then go back to the "fruit pickers" and try to explain what they have to do lol cos they are all a bit dense when it comes to Internet and Broadband issues.
All Three providers I tried to migrate to (IDNet, Zen & Be) confirmed they accepted LLU MAC Codes in the format I was given
So having had enough I gave Orange my 30 days notice and my account is due to be cancelled in 2 weeks time but I'm worried that after the 10 day waiting period the maker will still Be Broadband
As far as i am aware it is BT Wholesale who remove the Tag from your line so you shouldnt have a problem. You can check with them by telephoning 0800 169 0934 for a progress update and they will confirm the date your line will be clear.
