hi i have supposed to have been on ADSL Max since the start of December. My livebox synchs at 8.1 but i have never been able to achive download speeds above 256. below is my results from speedtesterbt site

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 2000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1538 kbps

IP profile is always 2000 never been any higher. any time i phone Orange i am always told it will be fixed in a couple of days or they refer to BTW but they never find a problem.

Any ideas???

If you have had it more than 10days it looks as though the profile is stuck at 2mb. Ask Orange to get BTW to reset.

The first 10 days is the training period.

Thanks but already asked them but all the say is that they can be assured that it will be fixed in a couple of days but this is now over 3 months. getting really fed up now. line didnt go through any learning curve as it has always been stuck at profile of 2000. will maybe try their top quality call centre again tomorrow...

Tell them to fix it or give you a MAC code and move on.

If they mention cancellation fees in relation to MAC request tell them there in breach of your contract as follows:

2.1 We will provide you with Broadband using reasonable skill and care

I would suggest that if you have been trying to get the problem fixed for 3 minths then that does not constitute reasonable skill & care.
