Some of you may have been my thread about my slow connection speed prob, getting 600/700k when i usually get 2.2-3mb. I'm n Greater Manchester.
Now, I read that if you are on a LLU, you are likely to get slow speeds, usually around 2.7meg as a max - can you not get taken off the LLU so you goet the speed you're paying for? ie 4mb or higher?
not true. Orange are obliged to give you what you are paying for. If you upgraded from 2 meg to 8 then they have to provide at least what you were getting. Ask them to put you back on IPStream, this will take you off their LLU..... their LLU eqpt does NOT work they admitted it to me on a number of occasions and if you read through the numerous messages in here you will realise there are LOTS of people having the same problems.

I asked them to take me off the llu after they gave me up to 8 mb they put me back on 2mb on llu then turned me down to 608kbs llu as of 6pm today my download speed is 330kbs and my up load is 35kbs try playing games with that.7 weeks to go my point,they would not put me back on the service i had before llu. customer service said well who will pay for that.
Well tell the to**ers in Customer "Service" that they HAVE to do it ... they have already given you 2 meg contract and your not getting that. They wont have taken you off LLU cos they dont like doing it cos it DOES cost them money ... tell them they can use the money they charge the thousands of customers for all the effing phone calls we have to make to them to try to get them to actually FIX something. Demand IPStream... they cannot refuse if your connection is substandard, and lets face it Whos isnt with Orange !
These people make me sick with their couldnt care less Attitude !!!
I think we're loosing our sense of reality. This person has been put onto LLU and thats the way it is going to stay, like it or not. Orange are pushing forward, full steam with LLU because of potential cost savings. Customer perceptions or expectations mean nothing to Orange.

there are many customers who who would not agree with this. No matter how bad Orange are things need to be kept in prospective.
I have lost interest with them to be honest i am just biding my time ,then i will buy my way out. I will try get some recompense but i am not fussed the stress is bad enough it will be a relief to get away from what was once a great provider in my opinion,I play games more than surf or download but there is no way i am getting up in the middle of the night to play call of duty I know companies have to make money ,i mean i would not go to work for free but once companies start outsourcing to the other side of the world you know they are either in trouble or just greedy.They are not doing it for the good of the other countries economy,they do so they have to pay peanuts.
Personally i think its Orange who have lost their sense of reality! Why put everyone on LLU, and CONTINUE to do so when they KNOW their equipment does not work? ..... reality bites !! their time will come.
Their sheer greed is blatantly evident in the way they have treated me over the last few weeks knowing i was not getting a service, yet refusing to give me a MAC and telling me i have to cancel my account so they can charge me for something they could not and CANNOT provide. I just think it is lidicrous that these people can get away with such acts without no governing controls taking them to task.
I have been a very loyal Freeserve, then Wanadoo customer over the years but to be honest since these amateurs took over i think the majority of UK customers have received very poor service from a company who says the futures bright !! hahaha it wont be if you stay with this lot.

same thing happend to me,i'm conecting at 608kbs ,its been a nightmare and i'm gonna cancel, they can whistle for the money for the rest of the contract.

Seen you post this a few times, you do realise if the bill was for the remainder of the contract then you would have still gotten it by using the MAC? How you leave is irrelevant as unless it's agreed beforehand that charge would automatically go through.
if they hadnt screwed up my connection in the first place i wouldnt have needed to go ANYWHERE!! i think your forgetting it wasnt my choice it was theirs to take me off something that worked and put me on the dreaded LLU they profess to call a connection. If they cannot provide a service they should NOT expect to be paid for it wether its current or the remainder of a contract.

When i asked for my MAC code they said i would have to pay the remaining 30 days -- i told them that i will be stopping my direct debit and if they could take me to small claims court as what im getting is not broadband , they agreed to waive the fee

I tried that as well but it didn't work, they said I would have to ring Tech support first and they would have to agree, I did have 5 months left of contract left.And they gave me 1 month free.Load of Bull**it really.
