Is this on LLU?
What exchange?
I was getting excited till I tested.
I've just tested mine on LLU:
Download Speed: 467 kbps (58.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 141 kbps (17.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
I normally get 2.2 - 2.7 - the test above is less than 0.5
Sorry guys i am italian and i donot speak inglish very good, especially regarding technical stuff. What a hell means LLU???
My connectio is about 265kbps when is supposed to be 5- Mb.
cant even whact video in streaming hat i was able to watch before with 1Mb(with BT). E che cazzo!!!!!!!!
That is what i have got!AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! It is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all,
Anybody else noticed an improvement over last few days?.
After Three weeks of less than 1Mb & frequent disconnects we've been over 2Mb for two or Three days & hardly any disconnects.

I can just visiti web site and read. I can watch video streaming anymore. I ued to do it with 1 Mb, now that i have got 8Mb i can't. ahahahahah
My last test:
Hi everyone, new to this site since recent downgrading of bandwidth prompted me to find out more!
I used to get a measure download speed of over 8Mb! Then at the end of Last month I noticed a significant drop in internet performance and streaming content. Checked the Livebox to find a speed of 2272 and an Upstream of 288.
This has never changed since then.
I did the usual performance of hanging on the phone for 35mins only to get some guy in India who started down the old 'It must be your equipment' road.
Nothing has changed on the inside of my house so it must be Orange.
Reading this very helpful forum has made me realise they have LLU'd my local exchange (North Bristol?)
I really am very annoyed with Orange, firstly for conning me into signing up for an 18 Month contract and actually delivering 8Mb then capping it at 2Meg! Secondly for not having the decency to admit what they have done to their customers who are paying their wages!
For what it's worth here are my stats:
ADSL Top Refresh ADSL firmware version : A2pBT009.d16m-1
Connection mode : G.DMT
Type : Fast
Noise margin (dB) : 29.6
Attenuation (dB) : 36.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 8480
ADSL status : Connected [0]
I've done a few speed checks tonight and have been told I'm getting around 0.5mb.
Nothing like 8mb is it?
So I contacted Orange (via email.....their call centre bill was ridiculous last time.......why does the new connection keep crashing?) and was sent a list of pretty basic & silly 'handy hints'.
My speeds are lower than when I had the 2mb connection.
I did nab the drivers a little while back so I could try and use my old USB modem on the 8mb connection, I might give that a go.
