As a happy Orange Mobile cusotmer i was really keen on the free 2 meg or £5 8meg service.
After seeing all this, there is NO WAY I WILL EVER JOIN UP WITH Orange.
I find it VERY insulting that the sales team / customer service team are still actively encouraging people to sign up.
EG: When asking a few simple questions about the service the CSA actively started pricessing "my" request for an 18 month contract!
I am so disappointed by what I have heard about the SHOCKING service and support that I am strongly considering moving away from Orange mobile too.
LISTEN Orange, and understand: I am going to forward this link to everyone i know who doesn't currently have broadband. And maybe to a few popular message board sites too. This way, eventually, EVERYONE will know what a terrible job you have done. Meaning: Lost revenue for you.

Unfortunately the millions of satisfied customers don't feel the need to set up or contribute to sites like this one.
Before you choose another ISP or mobile provider be sure to check the sites criticizing those companies. You'll find similar people, some with genuine problems, others who seem somewhat hysterical and obssessed, criticizing them too.

1. Yes it is unfortunate that the "millions" of satisfied customers don't feel the need to set up or contribute to sites like this one.
It seems to be the general trend these days to be selfish and indifferent to the plight of others who need help. It's a shame they don't come on over to help out!
2. I'm quite sure that most people who have been treated like s h i t by Orange will be more careful in future; hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it?
3.People aren't always as they seem to be. They're the product most often of assumptions, which turn into beliefs and beliefs have to be defended!
Facts however, speak for themselves!

Im a satisfied customer and I contribute to this site and another forum I moderate on .
Loomer is correct you will always find someone unhappy with the service wherever you go . If they weren't then we would all by using this mythical ISP .
Be thankful we arent forced into using a state controlled ISP and censored for complaining .
It is a shame that more people don't take your stance in investigating an isp before committing themselves to a contract. Good on you mate - you can tell from reading this site contents, how much stress you have avoided!
yes i agree, you will always find unhappy customers no matter which ISP you go to but how many effing customers does it take for Orange to actually do something about all these problems?
They now acknowledge they have BIG problems yet they STILL continue to take peoples money and charge them to get out of a so called contract which THEY have reneged on.
I think they are a complete joke and should be treat with the contempt they deserve.

And if you are reading this Orange - why don't you get into another form of business? How about manufacturing Orange toilet paper? At least us poor suckers will gain some use (and satisfaction) from that!

Their call centre (technical support hahaha) is a joke ... you can get more technical support from a bloody ice cream van, you will be eating your words when they get to YOUR account mate just you wait and see... oh incidentally are you aware of what speed your actually getting with Orange?
I very much doubt it if your their happy customer, try going here http://www.speedtest.net/index.php do a test and let us know the results cos then maybe if its what you expected you could write to Orange and tell them you have something that actually works then they can contact their ice cream van (woops technical support) who "may" just one day be able to fathom out why the other thousands of Orange customers either have no connection whatsoever or the ones who manage to get one can eventually get the one they are paying for.
I really cant see that happening in the near future cos the futures S**TE!! if the futures Orange.
I've touch on this is another thread so I'll elaborate more on this, this is addressing Loomer and Solutech.
Firstly, there is a considerable difference between being SATISFIED with a service and getting WHAT YOU'VE PAID FOR.
With respect to people being satisfied- Yes, you are right, there are tons of people who do not download lots, Yes there are many people who do not need high speed broadband. These people may be satisfied with Orange, but I tell you what- They are not getting what they pay for. Just out of interest- you two are satisfied, care to share speed test results?
If I'm not getting what I pay then expect people to be DISSATISFIED- The reasons for being unhappy are NOT some 'superficial whine due to that time of the month'.
If you are happy on Half a meg, then so be it, but when there comes a time when half a meg does not cut it for you then I think you'll start to wonder why you are not getting what you pay for.
I like to think I'm paying for a full course meal- some might be happy with just the starter (anorexics), some will just be satisfied with the main course. But when they find out theres no desert or wine some won't care, but some want the whole f*cking meal because THATS WHAT THEY'VE PAID FOR. I am entitled to what I pay for .
