Is anyone aware of how to remove the barrier on the livebox that prevents it from sending any SIP packets?
I'm trying to register with an Asterisk based VoIP PBX but have been totally unsuccesful. I have taken a trace of the call set up and it shows that no SIP packets are passing from my phone to the compnay telephone exchange
i am pretty sure this is not a simple firewall issue as I have moved my VoIP unit into the DMZ and even unblocked ports 5060 but to no avail.
Orange support, in india say they do not support the use of additional registration but personally I dont think they know what they are talking about and this is just an easy thing to say to get me off the phone.
My cynical side feels this is a deliberate action by Orange to only allow their users to connect to their VoIP service. I am looking to make a complaint to OFCOM because i would have thought this was illegal. But I wanted to check with this forum to see if there is was a way of getting into the box or system to take these restrictions off.
i have no problem registering the device from any other ISPs broadband so assume this must be an Orange thing.
Any help or advice in sorting this out is apreciated.
Are you into the Livebox config on 192.168.1.1 ?
SIPGATE works ok as does MSN voice calls
Dont think there's anything in the Livebox that would block it
I have spent the whole day trying to get a Siemens Gigaset C450 IP to work with Sipgate via my Livebox but it just will not work. Although my Sipgate account page shows the device as on line, the telephone handset just says that it can not contact the server and the set up has failed.
I don't know very much about VOIP but if anyone can tell me what to adjust on the Livebox, i would be very grateful.
