I noticed a few weeks ago that Orange's broadband unlimited package is now £19.99 a month.
The problem is they are still charging me £27.99 a month!.I gave them a ring to find out why and they said i will have to change my package (which i'm ALREADY USING!) to get the £19.99 a month price.
If i did this i would be tied to them for another 12 months.
Can they do this?.Shouldn't they just charge me £19.99 without me changing anything?.
They're contracted to provide you the service at a specified cost, they can't change your package without agreement as often this introduces new conditions or restrictions due to the minor differences between the old and new contracts.
They could inform you of the new deals available but they probably don't for the simple reason you're paying them more in the first place.
just to make you aware i believe if you call up, tell them you want to cancel you will be able to get on broadband for £9.99, but hurry i think its lasting for only 2 weeks,
dont forget to mention you only want to go ahead with it if you not tied into anther 12 contract

So what about LLU. Material change to contract but no agreement or email as required from Orange. They just go ahead and wait for the customer to boil over.
The terms and conditions say they provide the service down your phone line and that it can be supplied over different systems. If it was in a court they'd easily argue that they can transfer between these at their discressionas you're supposed to be warned about the change and it is a migration so usually should be off for upto 30 minutes. LLU is more fault prone when provisioned and thats a widely known fact for the whole LLU industry.
