Ok,so its not really an Orange problem, but im hoping somebody can help me with it.
Whenever i attempt to view a website or video etc. that requires Flash Player...im told that i either have Java Script turned off or an old versipn of Macromedia Flash Player.
Now....i know for a fact that i have Flash version 9.0.28.0 installed and also Sun Java Console, but every time i get this message i attempt to download it again from the Adobe Flash Player site, and it confirms that it is installed and running.
But if i immediately go back to the site where i was getting the problem,it again will not let me view and i get the same mesaage again.
I know the answer will probably be simple, but i havent been able to figure it out yet....can anybody offer any advice please?
By the way...this is a fairly recent problem, because i used to be able to view anything with no problems at all.
Go into Tools, Internet Options then Security tab,
If it's not greyed out click the default level button,
Go to the Advanced tab and click restore defaults at the bottom,
Close Internet Explorer and see if that helps.
Thanks for your reply Elhana,
I thought you might have been onto something there......
I reset my security to the lowest level which is medium(using IE7),then went to advanced tab,and "restored advanced settings"
Closed and restarted IE,went onto youtube(most convenient site i know of that uses flash),but still getting same message -
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player.
Hello Ron
the answer to your question is a problem with updating flash on Macromedia website
Thats it working now...thank you.
I was being redirected to the wrong place every time i got the message that i didnt have the latest version of Flash. The link you posted was the correct place to go.
I dont know how this all came about, because everything used to be absolutely fine....but its sorted now.
Thanks again.
