Due to being given the grand tour by Orange Tech and customer services for 4 days I decided to complain to Ofcom. I was given some good advice by them (although they don't investigate single complaints they do log them and I was informed that when a certain trigger number is reached, Ofcom will investigate). I have been offline now for over a week with still no end in sight ( Line problem at server end). I asked customer services to put me in touch with the Alternate Dispute Resolotioun Scheme they are signed up with (Ofcom advised me that they do have such a sceme, and if they didn't, they would be breaking consumer protection rules), only to be told that there is no such service I then again contacted Ofcom who will invetigate this on a single issue.
I'd suggest that anybody who has an ongoing problem with Orange ask for the ADR scheme, and if refused report it immediatley to Ofcom, the more people who do will give added weight to any investigation
If during the process of investigating your complaint we reach a deadlock situation, we will confirm that there is nothing more we can do with respect to your complaint and we will provide you with a reference number. After this you may wish to refer the dispute further to the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS). Alternatively, if after 3 months, you have not received a satisfactory response from Orange concerning your initial complaint, we will provide you with a reference number and you can refer the complaint further to CISAS. CISAS is an independent alternative dispute resolution scheme run by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators that deals with disputes of residential and small businesses. When your dispute goes through the scheme, a person called an independent adjudicator decides how to resolve it. Once the dispute has been referred to CISAS any goodwill offers made by Orange
concerning the complaint will become void. To get further details on how to refer a dispute to CISAS please contact them on:
