Just found this report into report into problems with LLU... It's mostly about a specific incident, however the final "Orange" comment did make me giggle...
"The ISP told us recently: "As we have said before, LLU is a very complex technology and a number of things can go wrong, so if a very large number of customers are being migrated, a few might experience problems. The fact remains that the very vast majority of Wanadoo LLU customers have not had any issues at all." ®"
I think it's more a case of "The very vast majority of Wanadoo LLU customers do not realise they have a problem because they are very light users and don't fully understand the terminology. We're not interested in providing the advertised service, it's all about us making money out of the unsuspecting public."
The issue is becoming more common now because Orange decided that rather then putting money into resolving the problem they would continue spending the money rolling out the flawed upgrade! A mistake I think is going to cost them greatly... I for one would NEVER use any Orange service!
Just to play fair, look at a site similar to this that was setup for Be users to complain.... It's now turned into more of a resource then a nagging ground! Shame the same can't be said for Orange... Be here I come...
