There a News post at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ showing the average speed for speed tests carried out between 6pm and 10pm for each service provider where over 500 tests were carried out in this peak period over 4 months. Take a guess what average speeds Orange was getting?

Yep, not suprised? Guess wheres its placed? Second from bottom. Orange would be last if it wasn't for 'Virgin Media (non-cable) 858Kbps', but they have another entry 'Virgin Media (cable) 2,978 Kbps'. So Orange have the lowest average speeds...
I want Be! 'Be 7,576 Kbps'. This is the sort of speed one would expect from claims for "Up to 8 meg"
And there was me getting all concerned about crap speeds at peak times just to find out that's what everyones getting. I don't feel so alone anymore. Thankfully my 12 month sentence is just about up and I'm off, probably to someone like BE. Anyone know if they take LLU MACs?
