I had the 8meg upgrade from 2meg and now connect at a steady speed of 2.7meg
I emailed Orange explaining that I am unhappy with the service and they are breaching their Ts & Cs
When I was upgraded I was on ADSL max and getting an average speed of 6000-6000K/bps which I was happy with, they then put me on LLU....without informing me
Emailed them stating everything about the problem, got this reply

Can someone explain what they mean by 'set to 2.2meg'?
Is it my line or have they capped me, surely it cannot be the line as I was recieving over 6meg aon ADSL Max
Think I will get the MAC code this week and go with Sky, better speed, better service etc

If you've been "upgraded" by Orange to LLU 8Mb then Sky will not recognise and/or accept your MAC. You will have to request the service ceases so that Orange's LLU tag is removed and then apply to Sky for their service.
If you shout they may instruct removal immediately, which really means within 10 working days, otherwise they will hold you to a 30 day notice period, then you have up to 15 days before Sky goes live
