Back in May 2006 I got one of those annoying calls trying to sell me an upgrade. I told her I was happy with my phone but I would consider re-signing if she could offer me the free Livebox Broadband.
She offered me the Broadband without any qualms. I asked her if she was sure that my existing contract qualified me to receive the offer. I asked her a second time to check with her supervisor. No problems.
Brilliant!! Everyday 50 with free broadband..
The customer services have admitted they made a mistake but have agreed to honour the deal because it was as a result of a direct sales offer.
Reading on your other posts I now see that the problems I am having with the activation of my talk service is part of a larger issue, as I was assured by the 550 team. I did accuse them at one stage of deliberately witholding the service because of the error in selling me the package. It was reassuring to be told that they were not so advanced as to be able to automatically do that.
Broadband connection has been perfect since connection in August.
Long live everyday 50 and its inclusive non geographical numbers!!!
