broadband service status
Orange can confirm that a broadband network outage occurred yesterday Monday 16th October at approximately 16:00.
Only customers within our LLU network areas were affected and the outage was caused by a network equipment failure. We are working with our engineers and suppliers to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. Service was restored to more than 20% of affected customers overnight and will resume for more customers exchange by exchange throughout the day. We are working to restore normal service to all customers as quickly as possible.
I rang technical support at midday today (Wed) to say that, in spite of the phone message saying there were now no problems, I still had no service.
The agent told me that the service had been restored - but had gone down again.
I am still without service at the time of writing.
Orange to a tee!
I was supposed to have a 6 hour outage due to LLU upgrade in July, by mid September still wasn't fixed....needless to say I'm NOT an Orange broadband customer any more.
They are just recouping any losses by people like you(and me) calling their pathetic 'help' lines
OrangeProblems.co.uk received well over 19,500 hits to its website on Tuesday 17th October, presumably customers looking for some answers! Unfortunately, all we were able to do was provide comments by others and the same telephone message heard by disgruntled Orange customers UK-wide.
