After getting LLU in March and being offline until June, I was then offline again from early July until this week, when finally I'm back up - I was on the VIP spreadsheet for months.
Now I'm back on IPstream.
For months I had a ppp error problem - when I was reconnected via Ipstream I had the same error. Orange created a new account for me and I'm live again!!!! So for all those months all I needed was a new account setting up
I'm getting a free service until at least Xmas, but I'm still leaving soon anyway.
For the long term sufferers - ask about getting a new account set up as part of your attempts to get a live link again - it could have saved me months.
Understand tech and customer support won't do that normally, it would have to come from higher up like escalations or CAT and it's not something that would be done until they'd tried everything else.

Makes you wonder though what have escalations and cat been doing for the 6 months Chorlton was off?
You would think that anyone with more than 3 brain cells would realise after 1 month at best 2 months at worst that something needs doing and quick!

I presume you had an old freeserve/wanadoo acount / email address up to and including being LLu'd?
Have you got a new emil address or have they managed to retain your old one?
Due to my problems I bought a domain (basically the same name as my freeserve account without the freeserve bit) and have been using that email address instead - makes changing ISP easier.
My old Freeserve address still works though - I've been told they'll keep my account live so I won't lose that one. Dial up still works for my old account.
I've been logging onto my neighbours wireless broadband for the last few months so have had some sort of broadband - I'm now using up my free months then going...
