I range Orange (usually I just leave it and it comes up again eventually). Spoke to a very friendly and helpful chap, whom I think is in the Indian call centre. He told me there was an outage in my area (and didn't insist I reinstalled XP before admitting it) and I should be back up in a couple of hours.
Lo and behold, I refreshed my homepage after coming off the phone, and I was back up again.
Two hours?! Pah, he lied to me ;-)
I wonder if he pressed the 'fix their connection' button!
