Can anyone help..i have just gone with Orange 1 mg broadband..and i find great but sometimes when my phone rings or i pick up the phone my connection drops off..and i have to reconnect.
i am using the 2 filters in each of my phone sockets.
i have disabled the internal modem, im using the speedtouch 330.
Try this it worked for me just went through the same thing ..
To start with turn off your computer un plug the modem from the back of your computer, then disconnect the cable from the filter now wait five minutes .
Turn your computer on again and wait till it fully boots up, then plug the modem in to the back of the computer then connect the cable back in to the filter hopefully it should work for you now.. if not try swapping filters as one might be faulty ..
Powercycling is unlikely to help in this situation. Swapping filters is sort of right but if you simply swap them and one is faulty then it's still there to cause the fault. Best way is to remove one filter and connect both the phone and modem to the other filter. Test it, if the problem continues then swap in the unused filter. If one setup works and the other gives the problem then you know for sure it's a faulty filter and Orange should replace it for you.
